Chinese characters are never just decoration. They are condensed meaning, like a small seal for an inner attitude. On this BarrelCharm the symbol stands for longevity, stability and a long, conscious life, not as a promise, but as a gentle reminder of what you want to focus your days on. 🤍

The PEONY, the peony, unfolds in a lush relief around the barrel. Full flower heads, soft leaves and deep structures intertwine as if the plant had grown directly from the metal. In many Asian traditions, the PEONY stands for dignity, maturity and a beauty that does not rush, but remains. 🌸

CHINESE LONGEVITY is part of a series of six symbol barrels, in which each character carries a virtue and each barrel shows its own plant or flower. In addition to PEONY for CHINESE LONGEVITY, SAKURA stands for CHINESE GOODWILL, ORCHIDS for CHINESE LOVE, BAMBOO for CHINESE JOY, CHRYSANTHEMUM for CHINESE PEACE and LOTUS for CHINESE DOUBLE HAPPINESS. Together they form a complete floral world, which is brought together again as an overall motif in the matching locks of the series.
